After several prototypes and several years of development, the device is finally ready and we believe it will show the public some outstanding improvements in many aspects. After more than 10 years of music server development, even we have our surprises, and this time they were very positive. In fact, we believe that the role of digital source devices is to reproduce music as realistically as possible, and just as you peel the layers off an onion, you need the right tool to fully express the musical product. We feel that we have now reached a major milestone for us. We have laid the foundations with DAIDO Premium, which we launched last year in 2024, and will now be followed in 2025 by the first member of the REFERENCE family, the big brother: DAIDO REFERENCE.

Hardware specification:

- UNIQUE triple PSU combination:

  Core Audio V2.0 analogue 7 circuits PSU: ALL NEW, second generation PSU unit made from carefully selected special components (Nichicon audio grade capacitors). A fully analogue power supply for each component with 7pcs circuit and standard ATX sockets. It is fully balanced with low output noise.  250.000uF total capacitors built in this LPSU.

  Core Audio V1.2 analog 1 circuit SUPERCAP-LPSU: ALL NEW supercapacitor based ultra low noise PSU, total capacity is 180F. That secured the absolute tonal clarity and well layered sub domain for the music server

  AAC card analog 6 circuits LPSU: ALL NEW based on high frequency filtration combined capacitor and ultra low noise power ICs. Separated for every audio connection point (Renesas and ASMedia based USB ports and also for gigabit LAN connection, separated NVMe SSD slot + microcontroller IC and display controller). Total 210.000uF capacitor pack included the 6pcs paper-foil capacitors.

- Passive cooling Core Audio's newly developed case, 

made from high quality anodized aluminum, CNC machined, optimized visual screw-less minimal design. Fully compatible with passive cooling systems, operating in silent mode. Internal triple floor system for the special shielding and separation:

One level for the transformers and AC distribution, grounding. Second floor for the motherboard and especially designed PSU system, and the third (top) floor for the AAC Audio Acceleration Card.

- Max. 2x 8Tb (total 16TB) SATA SSD for music file storage + 3x 4Tb NVMe SSD (total 12TB) (optional + 2Tb, 4Tb or 8Tb can be ordered) : this 2.5" SSDs are powered by DADIO music server's internal ULN PSU and get a masterclock sync from internal masterclock. (the music server can shipped with 1Tb SystemSSD + total 2x8Tb music file storage, which is quite a serious OFFLINE collection of music!)

- Components has timing and the start-up phase is fully automated

- SoftStart component

- AAC : a kind of audio accelerator card, with a solution not used in the music server category yet: Renesas USB Audio out ASMedia USB Audio out (user can choose which audio output he prefers or suits better to his audio system) ETH Ethernet stream IN (for network stream connection) LPSU powered SSD slot, with masterclock connection (stored music files) -

- 10MHz (BNC 75ohm connectors) reference clock IN and OUT, the internal AAC masterclock can get a better external clock source to be syncronised OR can his own internal 10 MHz high precision OCXO clock signal share with other equipment (like Core Audio DENPO Premium).

- ULN masterclock with 4pcs OCXO, all audio prioritized components get the right low noise, low jitter clock for operation, running in PLL sync

- 7" touchscreen (with full Audirvana support, with the option to boot with album artwork)- Core Audio's proprietary 'Atlantis Surface' interface, which can be operated from both the touchscreen and Android/iOS, provides simplified user access to the device's features (tutorial videos on these features will be available on our soon-to-launch YouTube channel)

Software specification:

- Altered BIOS and operating system settings to switch off or delete functions and applications that are not necessary for music playback.

- CPU and RAM hardware are sync with the operating system.

- CORE AUDIO full MEMORY PLAYER called ATLANTIS SURFACE- available NOW

The operating system and all of the player, optimizing software are running fully loaded into a RAM (like RAM Disk). After starting the music server with optimized BIOS the operating system loading into the music server's RAM (64 Gb), the boot time is ca.                1 Minutes. Then the user can choose on the Atlantis Surface environment:  

Audirvana with Tidal/Qobuz/HRA/PRESTO support + Remote app (iOS/Android) or

JRiver + JRemote or 

ROON with TIDAL/Qobuz or 

Tidal, Qobuz, HRA, Deezer, Amazon Music dedicated Win10-Win11 app integration. 

The music server can be controlled from iOS/Android smartphone or tab and of course with HDMI monitor + keyboard and mouse too with a DEDICATED CORE AUDIO control application.

     at this moment Android version Remote Controller software is available, iOS version coming soon!

Tidal, Qobuz, HRA, Deezer, Amazon Music dedicated Win10/11 apps are preinstalled, the user need to sign in if own a personal subscription.

The Core Audio Memory Player software environment is our solution and advise to use it for the best sound quality and UI on our system. Of course our customers can choose the normal operating system management without memory playing.
