After several years of development and extensive prototyping, we proudly present the DAIDO Reference — the first and most advanced member of our REFERENCE series. Building on the strong foundation laid by the DAIDO Premium, this new flagship server/streamer marks a transformative step in digital audio playback. Designed to reveal even the finest layers of musical information, DAIDO Reference takes realism, control, and sonic layering to new levels.

What Sets DAIDO Reference Apart

While the DAIDO Premium is already one of the most refined music servers in its category, the DAIDO Reference elevates nearly every element:

• Triple PSU architecture, including a second-generation Core Audio 7-rail analog PSU, a SuperCap-based PSU, and a dedicated LPSU for audio acceleration circuits
• Advanced multi-level passive shielding and CNC-machined aluminum case with triple-floor architecture
• Discrete OCXO-based ULN masterclock with 4 oscillators and PLL synchronization
• Increased internal storage capacity (up to 4x8TB) with reclocked and analog-powered SSDs
• Dedicated AAC (Audio Acceleration Card) with selectable Renesas and ASMedia USB outputs

Hardware Innovations and Architecture

1. Triple Power Supply System

• Core Audio V2.0 Analog PSU: 7 independent analog rails using premium Nichicon audio-grade capacitors (250,000µF total) with ATX compatibility and ultra-low output noise
• Core Audio SuperCap PSU (V1.2): One-rail SuperCap-based LPSU with 180F total capacity, delivering extreme tonal clarity and sub-domain layering
• AAC Card LPSU: 6-rail low-noise analog PSU with paper-foil capacitors (210,000µF total), dedicated for USB ports, network interfaces, SSD, microcontroller, and display controller

2. Core Audio ULN Masterclock System
The internal ULN clock generator features 4 high-precision OCXO units, each assigned to audio-critical subsystems. All components operate in PLL-synchronized mode, minimizing jitter and phase noise. The server includes both 10 MHz clock input and output, allowing external clock syncing or sharing its reference with other Core Audio gear (e.g. DENPO DAC).

3. Audio Acceleration Card (AAC)
Our proprietary AAC module integrates:

• Dual USB outputs (Renesas and ASMedia), user-selectable based on system synergy
• Ethernet stream input for network playback
• SSD slot with reclocking and clock sync

4. Storage and Power for Local Playback

• Up to 2 × 8TB SATA SSD and 2 × 8TB NVMe SSD (total: 32TB)
• SSDs powered by internal ULN analog PSU and synchronized with the masterclock
• Optional 1TB system SSD and up to 4 × 8TB music SSDs pre-installed

5. Passive Cooling & Shielded Design
CNC-machined aluminum enclosure with triple internal floors:

• Lower level: transformers, grounding, AC filtering
• Middle level: motherboard, PSU

1. Memory Player & Operating System
DAIDO Reference features the Atlantis Surface Memory Player, where the full OS, playback software, and music library are loaded into 64 GB RAM upon boot. This ensures unmatched performance and isolation from hardware-induced jitter and latency.

2. Preinstalled Player Ecosystem

• Audirvana, ROON, JRiver, JPLAY — ready to use
• Native apps: Tidal, Qobuz, HRA, Deezer, Amazon Music
• Video streaming apps like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and others are also pre-installed and available via HDMI.
• Licenses for Windows 11 and select player software included (Audirvana full license, JRiver/JPLAY trial)

3. Atlantis Surface Remote Interface

• Full touch screen UI (7")
• Remote control via iOS and Android using the Atlantis Surface app

Tidal, Qobuz, HRA, Deezer, Amazon Music dedicated Win10/11 apps are preinstalled, the user need to sign in if own a personal subscription.

The Core Audio Memory Player software environment is our solution and advise to use it for the best sound quality and UI on our system. Of course our customers can choose the normal operating system management without memory playing.
